The 31st Annual Virginia Film Festival is November 1-4, 2018
The Virginia Film Festival (VFF) is a very exciting and special 4 day event open to the public. Events include the showing of all types of films, special industry guests, discussion panels, and more. Many University of Virginia campus venues and Charlottesville theaters will host over 150 films (including independent, new, classic, documentaries, short, foreign and virtual reality). The special guests come from all over the world to take part in the events. Panel discussions are free and open to the public. The Opening Night Gala begins November 1st and the Wrap Party ends the program on the 4th. While most events require buying tickets in advance, there are also free ones! One of the main themes for this year is Race in America. This festival is a program of the University of Virginia and the Office of the Provost and Vice Provost for the Arts.

Alamo Draft House Cinema:
New and classic films, including the Alamo for All Program, for folks with special needs and new parents. Glass Half Full restaurant and bar on site at 5th Street Station.
Light House Studio at Vinegar Hill Theatre:
Non-profit film education center with special film viewings.
Regal Stonefield Stadium 14 & IMAX:
New standard and IMAX feature films.
Violet Crown:
New and classic films with full menu and bar offerings on the mall in Downtown Charlottesville. 4 hours of free parking included.
The Paramount:
Classic films in downtown Charlottesville's original 1931 movie palace.

Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC): Free Movie Night (Fridays)

Jefferson-Madison Regional Library - Northside: Family Night at the Movies
Free family friendly films shown on the 2nd Tuesday evening of every month.
