Earlysville VA in Albemarle County near Charlottesville is a small village featuring lovely rural neighborhoods. This is country living at its best!
The village of Earlysville is located on the north side of the Charlottesville area. It features pretty rural neighborhoods and lovely farms and estates. Also, schools are located in the village or close by. Wonderful shopping areas and restaurants are just moments away. All of the area's major employers are located within a 10 30 minutes drive of Earlysville (see below for details). The Charlottesville Airport (CHO) is also very close by. Thus, Earlysville is within close proximity to all that Charlottesville has to offer.
Earlysville Scenery
Earlysville offers neighborhood environments, with lot sizes ranging from 1-3 acres on streets which end in cul-de-sacs. More rural neighborhoods are areas that are not contained. Instead, they are individual 2+ acre homesites that border state roads or are located at the end of long driveways. Its a very interesting, very beautiful area, with pastoral, wooded, or mountain views at every turn. These are neighborhood communities where people know and care about one another. Earlysville has a certain peace and quiet with an expectation of privacy. Therefore, all of these things are here because of living in a rural environment. It does not matter how convenient it may be to shopping, school, and employment.

- The National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC): NGIC's mission is to produce all-source integrated intelligence on foreign ground forces and support combat technologies. This is to ensure that U.S. forces and other decision makers will always have a decisive edge on any battlefield.
- Charlottesville is benefiting in a big way from the US Department of Defense's (DoD) Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) progress. Many Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) organizations are moving to or have relocated to this area at NGIC.
- MicroAire Surgical Instruments, with 130 employees; R&D and headquarters facility for surgical instruments manufacturer, located along Airport Road.
At the UVA Research Park:
There are currently eight buildings in the Park totaling approximately 500,000 square feet, with 30 tenants, employing over 1,500 workers on site. Just some of the Park's employers include:

The area's largest employer, the University of Virginia, is located just 10 miles from Earlysville, as is Downtown Charlottesville.
