Funny that I am posting this a couple of years after the completion of our own remodel... there are some savings we might have made if I had read this earlier!  Actually, we would have taken the wall out and installed all new recessed lighting regardless, but we remodeled for a twenty-year stay.  Whether or not we actually live here another
