IVY, VIRGINIA

Ivy, Virginia is a rural area in Albemarle County with sought-after family neighborhoods. This area is in the Charlottesville area’s western school district with Meriwether Lewis Elementary School, Murray Elementary School, Henley Middle School, and Western Albemarle High School.  “Ivy” refers literally to homes which use a 22945 zip code. However, the reality is that Ivy refers to a much larger area.  In order to search for homes in the Ivy area, one would search using the two elementary schools noted above. This community is west of Charlottesville and the University of Virginia. It has luxury homes, historic properties, farms, estates, and more established neighborhoods with large lots. In addition, there is a post office, a small convenience store and gas station, and a garden center.  Finally, it is lovely driving through scenic Ivy. Access into Charlottesville is a snap along I-64, US Route 250, or Garth Road.
