The Blue Ridge Forest Neighborhood consists of 26 properties in three areas off and along Reas Ford Road on the way to Earlysville proper. The areas are Rays Ford Circle and Forestvue Drive with homes along Reas Ford Road. Each area differs from the others.
Blue Ridge Forest really isn’t a neighborhood subdivision. At one time, the entire area was one large piece of land. Development began about 20-30 years ago. The first few homes were built in the late 1970’s along Reas Ford Road and Forestvue Drive. Rays Ford Circle was developed during the 1980’s. Similarly, other properties began developing along the remaining lots on Reas Ford Road and Forestvue Drive. All lots are 2 or more acres in size. Homes vary in style. They are made of wood, brick and/or stone.
Rays Ford Circle and Reas Ford Road Areas
Rays Ford Circle is unique from the other areas because it is heavily forested. The 6 properties consist of cottage and other styled homes tucked into the forest. There is a lot of privacy here because the trees block views of many homes from the road. Meanwhile, the 6 homes along Reas Ford Road are ranch in style. They back up to the woods but have with large green lawns and open space.
Forestvue Drive Area
The Forestvue Drive area is truly lovely. Homes are more modern in cape and colonial styles with large manicured lawns. Some homes back up to the woods. Seasonal mountain views from several of the houses. Forestvue Drive is the lead-in to the Mallard Lake and Hidden Forest subdivisions. This area is special because no two homes are alike.
