Sunrise Farm Neighborhood in Earlysville VA
The Sunrise Farm Neighborhood is a community of 7 properties located off Reas Ford Road on Sunrise Lane. Originally a working farm, this area now boasts lovely homes on large lots, including the original farmhouse. This community has wide open spaces with spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
When you first enter the Sunrise Farm Neighborhood, you instantly realize that this is a special community. This is because each home makes its own “Wow!” statement. In addition, they vary in style such as cape, colonial, and modern, made of brick, wood, and/or stone. Lots range in size from 2 to 21+ acres. Most homes have beautifully landscaped rolling lawns. Woods outline the sides of this area. As you drive down Sunrise Lane to the end of the cul-de-sac you will be stunned by the views. Also, at this point you will see a privately owned vacant on the left and one hidden driveway on the right leading down into the woods. This is truly a beautiful area!
A Little History
Reas Ford, LLC (Mike Gaffney of Gaffney Homes) purchased the original 1920’s farmhouse and +/- 53 acres at a tax auction sometime in 2001-2002. He developed the property into the 7 lots and began building and selling homes in 2003. The original farmhouse was renovated in 2004 with many improvements.
There were no homes sold in Sunrise Farm Neighborhood in 2019.
Sunrise Farm Neighborhood is in a great location because local amentities are not too far away. Earlysville proper has a post office, professional offices, an animal hospital, and several churches. The beautiful Rivanna River is also close by. Also, a short drive away is Rte. 29, offering great restaurants and great shopping. Hollymead Town Center offers Harris Teeter, Target, Panera Bread, and much more. Nearby is the Forest Lakes shopping area. Here you will find Food Lion, a UPS store, a car wash, and other restaurants, etc. The Charlottesville Airport is also in this area. Historic Downtown Charlottesville and the University of Virginia are only a 20 minute drive away.
