The Village at Highlands is a lovely community that is home to 50 attached single family homes on Gate Post Lane off Mechums River Road in the Highlands.

However, it is so close to the town of  Crozet that it is considered part of the Crozet area. Most of these luxury villa style homes are 1 story but there are several with 2. Also, construction is wood, brick and stone. All homes have garages. Development began in 2006 by Craig Builders. In addition, this neighborhood has its own HOA, The Village at Highlands. Finally, the area is its own division within the Highlands subdivision.

The very popular Claudius Crozet Park in the town of Crozet is a mecca of outdoor sports venues. Also, nearby is the beautiful Mint Springs Valley Park for hiking and fishing. Crozet has many wonderful amenities with just about anything you may need nearby. Groceries can be bought at Crozet Great Valu (Crozet Market) in town and Harris Teeter and Brownsville Market just outside of town. In addition, the area has UVA Family Medicine and Sentara Crozet Family Medicine. Also, there is a librarya variety of restaurants and shops, the wonderful Crozet Hardware Co. and Starr Hill Brewery.

Of important note, this area is rich in culture and the arts. Also, there is the bi-annual Crozet Arts and Crafts Festival. The Crozet Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Crozet is only 15 minutes from downtown Charlottesville and UVA. Above all else, the small town feel, not far from the city, in a beautiful area makes this a great place to live.
