Springtime in the Mill Creek neighborhood area is spectacular! I was just there on a perfect spring day with blue skies and some fabulous mountain views. Redbuds, dogwoods, azaleas, and more were blooming in full force along the rolling hills. The first thing you notice is that most homes are tucked into wooded lots. They really compliment the environment! Houses are resting on hillsides or circle a cul-de-sac. Hence, the area is very attractive.
About Mill Creek and Mill Creek South
First of all, the Mill Creek community is divided into two sections. Craig Builders first developed and built the the northern “Mill Creek” neighborhood following their development of Earlysville Forest in Earlysville. Later, they developed and built the southern section, known as “Mill Creek South”. Also, homes in both areas are varied. They are traditional Virginia style construction, such as cape or colonial, or cabin-like and ranch structures. Furthermore, the flowing design of roads gives the neighborhood an organic feeling. Construction is all natural materials with 2×6 construction. In addition, houses are painted in complimentary earth tones to blend with the environment. Similar to other nearby area HOAs, residents in the “Mill Creek” area belong to the Mill Creek Home Owners Association. Mill Creek South residents belong to the Mill Creek South HOA.
