I like viewing the variety of homes in Ednam Forest. However, what I really like is the way this community was designed to show off its natural assets. The lots are large, with mature landscaping. The abundance of large trees really gives you the feeling that the houses are tucked into a forest. Ednam Forest is one of Charlottesville’s luxury communities, but it doesn’t shout it.
There’s wonderful geographical and architectural variation throughout the community.
In one area, you might find traditional Virginia homes, Colonial in flavor. Drive a bit around a corner, and there are a series of stunning contemporaries, built into the canopy of the trees. The materials are all natural, so the houses blend beautifully with their environment. It works really well.
Ednam Forest is located conveniently, less than 5 miles west of the University of Virginia. Its closest neighbor is the Boars Head Inn, a pretty nice neighbor to have! Along with the Inn are the Boar’s Head Sports Club and Birdwood Golf Course, both membership facilities. Across the street, there’s also Farmington Country Club, the area’s most exclusive membership club.
There are never many homes on the market at one time at Ednam, and the nicest homes come and go quickly.
