Kierwelann House could be your base camp for Appalachian Trail hikes, or sojourns down the mountain along Shamokin Springs to the waterfall. The heart of the house is the 29x27 ft. gathering room with two-story, peaked ceiling lined with heart of pine and 5 inch pine floors. Stone-faced fireplace and hearth radiate an authentic mountain feel. High windows and four sets of French doors bring the outdoors in. Enjoy family time or tuck away in the loft space with a book. Looking for one level living? Note that there are 2 primary suites on the entry floor (1 can be a second den/kids zone!). 4 bedrooms upstairs are supported by 2 'jack-and-jill' bathrooms. This is a perfect setup for 2 to 3 families to stay at the house together (sleeps 16!) The lot is level, making access for easy and opportunity for landscaping and hardscaping. The front porch gets morning sun and the covered porch on the back side of the house faces north making it perfect to enjoy the cool summer evenings. This property has also been a popular short term rental (great rental income!) and is equipped with a tankless hot water heater, and 2 dryers. New stove installed June 2024. Quartz kitchen countertops will be installed in July/August.
